You reach a point in your painting where you’re not sure what to do next.
You’ve gone back in, adjusted things, tried to improve it… and now you’re looking at it wondering what went wrong, or whether it can still be saved.
This session is for that moment.
This is a focused 30-minute one-to-one session where we look directly at your work and unpack what’s happening inside it.
You’ll send me photos of up to three paintings before the session, finished or unfinished, and we’ll go through them together.
We’ll look at what’s holding the painting, where it started to lose its clarity, and what decisions led it there. Not in a technical or overly analytical way, but in a way that helps you actually recognise these moments while you’re painting.
You’ll start to see where you tend to step in too early, where things become overworked, and what the painting needed instead at that point.
We’ll also talk through what you can do next, whether that’s continuing the piece, starting something new, or adjusting how you approach your next session.
By the end, you’ll have a clearer understanding of how to read your own work as it develops, not just feedback on a single painting.

For anyone who feels like they reach a point in their painting where things stop making sense, and they don’t know how to move forward.
“I didn’t realise how quickly I go back in and overwork things until it was pointed out. It completely changed how I approached my next painting.”
