Watercolour Botanicals for Beginners (in person Farnham Maltings)

Come and play with watercolours!

Explore the magic of modern botanical painting in this beginner’s watercolour workshop.

You will learn how to paint various foliage and floral elements, and combine them into really beautiful compositions, in a playful and loose style. You will go home with a painting ready to hang on your wall!

You will begin the workshop with a short guided meditation and a few mindful painting botanical exercises, to get grounded. You will then start exploring how the watercolours interact with water and paper, and most importantly, how the process makes you feel.

In the second part of the day, you will get a bit more technical and explore things like composition, colour blending, brush control, and start working on a finished piece of loose botanical art.

There will be a 45 -60 min lunch break. You can enjoy your lunch at the Riverside Cafe at Farnham Maltings, or there go to a nice restaurant in Farnham Town Centre, which is really close by. 

Suitable for any skill level.

All materials are provided, everyone will have their own watercolour set, brushes and watercolour paper to take home. Lunch is not included in the price.
